History

Gregg Eaddy opened Hog Heaven on April 15th 1999 in the building built in 1960 and occupied by two time national BBQ champion Mr. George Young. So on this site BBQ has been served for close to 50 years. It began as a small take out BBQ pit and early in the summer of 99 Hog Heaven began to build a dine-in and catering business as well as continue the take out business. In September of 1999 Gregg added a buffet and as the business grew so did the building. The folling year the first of several additions took place, an air conditioned dining area with a seating capacity of 70 as well as a new kitichen area was built. In 2001 a new prep and storage area was built to keep up with the expanded catering business. Today Hog Heaven is capable of catering parties ranging in size from 35 to 2000 people. In 2003 the back deck (bar area) was built to add an aditional 130 seats. From the live oaks growing thru the roof, the bottle cap menu on rustic railroad ties, to the true lowcountry oyster tables (they have holes in them for the shells) the back deck is truely a unique place. Here you can enjoy some of the best seafood the area has to offer as well as a wide variety of beers, wine, and spirits. Although the building has changed its looks dramatically over the years you can still find the vinager based BBQ (Pawleys Island Style) both inside and out. Live music and Karaoke sometimes surronds the senic outdoors as you enjoy your casual, laid back meal...

Thanks for Your Business!
